With the Ron DeSantis announcement yesterday, it was a unique announcement on Twitter instead

of network television.

It was a digital announcement rather than a traditional old-fashioned stemwinder on the

stump.

It was aimed at attracting a lot of interest, a first of its kind type experience.

It was also aimed at insiders because number one, they hang out on Twitter.

People who write and contribute and appear on the TV, cable TV news, people who write

for the magazines and the blogs, people who have influence over the direction of which

candidate is more popular and how events that happened are perceived, those people are

all very active on Twitter.

And Twitter is their echo chamber.

That's where the influencers influence other influencers.

Most people are not on Twitter.

But if you're trying to lock up that group, you go to their gymnasium.

You come to their town.

And this was an attempt by DeSantis to do that.

Now there were glitches, there'd never been anything like this on Twitter before.

You can decide for yourself whether those glitches matter.
