As promised, we are talking to Gary J. Byrne. The book is called Crisis of Character. It is

selling like hotcakes. Many of you may have heard Mr. Byrne over the last month to six weeks

doing interviews about this book and who he is, why he wrote this, these sorts of things.

I'm going to presume that some of our audience has heard those interviews and try to go beyond that,

particularly including some of the media criticism, because much of the media has refused to talk to him

and yet has gone out of their way to criticize the book, which seems a bit odd, doesn't it?

All right. Gary Byrne, author of Crisis of Character. Gary, why did you write this book about Hillary Clinton? What did you intend to accomplish?

Well, I want the American people to know who the real Hillary Clinton is.

You know, we're always hearing politicians, government employees talk about transparency,

transparency, transparency, transparent to this.

And you know, after 29 years in the federal government, I saw a lot of things that weren't

transparent, and one of them is who the real Hillary Clinton did.

Now, to really keep in the perspective, you know, you mentioned some of my detractors,

people who are bashing me.

You know, the one thing I'd like to your listeners to know is the way I got here, so to speak,

is I was the first employee in the history of the Secret Service to ever be compelled to testify

against the sitting president in a criminal case, and that was the Monica Lewinsky case,

and it was actually subpoenaed six times, and then eventually, after about four or five months,

I was ordered to testify by the chief of the Supreme Court, Judge Rehnquist. Not something I wanted on my resume.

But with that said, this isn't about getting even.

It's about getting the truth out.
