So let's talk about the state house for a moment, shall we?

They voted to impeach Ken Paxton, and you might wonder why so many Republicans voted that way.

Well, the state house, kind of like County Commissioners Court here in Houston, doesn't get a lot of attention.

A lot of things happen. You got to realize every state representative, 150 of them, thinks they're going to be president one day.

Every one of them thinks they're somebody special, right?

And they care most about what committee they get to chair.

More than right or wrong, or what's happening back home, because y'all won't ever know.

Because they've come home enough times, and people say, what y'all do up there in the session?

Well, we're fighting on that border, we're trying to figure out the schools.

Let me tell you something, that's a complex issue.

Man, I'll tell you what, you got some of these schools, superintendents don't want it.
