because this is going on across the country.

You've got the major urban school district,

which is a Houston independent school district,

a massive behemoth.

And there are some really good schools within the district

that are run well with committed teachers

and a student body with parents that are engaged in the school.

Parental engagement in the school

is the number one indicator of the quality of that school.

You show me a school where the parents don't come to the school

and engage at the school,

and I will show you a school there for whatever reason

is a failure.

When I was growing up,

that's always how people start their story for credibility.
