All right, so here is the update.

When Lena had all go, let me give you a little history of Harris County Commissioner's Court first.

I came to Houston in 89 and I ran for city council in the 2001 election.

But I started running in 99.

I spent two and a half years running and I was already getting press.

I was getting in Shelby Hodge's column.

I was meeting the right people.

I was taking people to lunch.

I was talking, took every city councilman that was still alive to lunch.

I took every mayor that was still around to lunch, took Louis Welch for a very long day of fishing.

I went and picked him up and we went and fished all day and I learned more.

I know that what people remember of Louis Welch is an off-handed remark in 1985 long after he'd been mayor that was not meant for the microphone.

That man had forgotten more about how you run a city effectively than any of the clowns since other than Lanier.

That man was a reason you had a dedicated water supply.

That man was a reason you have the Bush airport.

That man was a reason that you have an actual ambulance service and not funeral homes doing your ambulance service.

Because I don't know if it's real obvious to you but they have a conflict of interest because you make a lot more money if you let them die.

That man had done more to secure Houston's role as a major world city than any mayor before our sense within 100 years.
