I have one friend whose son has to switch schools to go into his junior year in another school.

He doesn't want to go there.

He's been working with his dad for years.

He wants to take over his dad's business. He wants to do what his dad does.

He doesn't want to go to school.

He doesn't want to go to a school.

He wants to work. That's what he enjoys doing. He wants to make some money.

Buy himself a truck.

And somewhere along the line, we decided that that wasn't good for a kid.

No, no.

You got to drive to the school and drive home every day.

You got to switch classes constantly and go sit at lunch and throw spitballs and flirt with girls and get in trouble and have letters sent home

and study the things they want you to study and you got to do that and then when you're done

you got to go somewhere else and pay more money and spend a bunch of time in classes.

And you've got to do their reports and get your grades.

And then when they get your grades and you measure up.

If you do that long enough and spend enough money, then you'll have your degree.
