A reminder friends that early voting has begun. I fully understand if your reaction to that is Michael I've got campaign fatigue I get it it would be

possible to consolidate all of these elections onto one day.

There are strategic reasons why they don't do them.

This is why the school board elections are not held in November because if people, the turnout

in November for say Trump would be a much higher percentage of the population

than the people who show up in very low turnout school board elections. The reason that's important is if everybody

showed up to if you asked all the taxpayers in the district, hey you want to float

yet another bond because the superintendent needs to raise

another $200 million to show he can do that so that he can get a pay raise to go to

the Dallas Independent School district or that one and he's got a bunch of

friends that they want to reward with with big purchases by building by

designing and building buildings.

The taxpayers will go,

hell no, which by the way is interesting.

They're doing that out in Huffman-Swindora area.

All these illegals have started coming in

and the taxpayers are going, uh--uh we don't want any part of that.

But if you do it on an off election, a uniform election day that is not a November election and is not a primary.

Now the only people who show up are the teachers and administrators.

And so with a very low turnout, you can win and then you get to keep this kitty of cash.

That's why the public school folks don't want school choice. It's not about the kids.

They want to keep the state funding formula for as many students as they can so they got maximum amount of money to build buildings and pay consultants because for too many people in public education that's what they do.
