So part of the fallout from the primaries last week was the biggest defeat of an incumbent was, for the first time since 2014, a sitting Republican congressman defeated in his own primary.

That was the Dan Crenshaw, Steve Tooth race.

Crenshaw had some statements to make about why he lost.

None of them, not one, suggested that even 1% was related to anything he has said or done, or not done, as a congressman. And I think that is quite telling, unfortunately. I don't want to spend

any more time on him. I do want to speak to the process, however.

who upset Dan Crenshaw in the primary.

Well, first of all, he beat him, I think, 6040.

It's a pretty big win.

And that surprised a lot of people because there was some swamp money that came in to attack

toth and push the incumbent.

An incumbent has advantages that a challenger doesn't have.

They have the ability to make news over votes, over positions.

They have a full staff.
