The Michael Berry Show is on the air. Mike Alco arrived in College Station at 2 o'clock this morning.

I got some photos from folks who were there and let's just say that the fanfare that A&M rolled out was quite different than what happened with

JIMBO. Now some of you will remember that moment.

I cringed when they gave him the National Championship Trophy

because that was just an early version of what he was going to win.

There's a certain promotion to it. It's kind of a Trump-like thing to do. You know, you're

owning it, as they say in the Black Church, you're claiming it. You've got claim what is yours.

I get that. A lot of folks who are motivational for athletes or business or people in their

personal lives will tell you that you have to have a goal and you have to

It's ideation it's it's vision you imagine yourself doing something before you do it.

That is a widely believed school of thought in preparation for success.

That if you you have to imagine what that looks like.

See yourself driving the car, entering the building, signing the deal, hiring the

person, winning the award. I get it. And it only looks bad if it doesn't work out.

If it had worked out, then it would look genius. I point that out only because they're taking

a different approach now.

Maybe setting Jimbo up with this, you know,

expectation of a national championship in a couple of years.

Probably didn't do him a favor but can you blame him?
