Today is national catfish day and don't worry I'm not about to blow your diet.

I will tell you that Vernon's Catfish Kitchen has reopened in Conroe,

after the flood, yet another flood, after the passing of several of our family

members, boy that family has been through a lot. Those women in that family are tough. They have

reopened, crispy, delicious catfish. It being National catfish, it being national catfish day is sort of interesting because I've rarely even been offered catfish out of Texas.

And I grew up on catfish. That was it. We fried catfish. In fact, I didn't know

till I was in college that people ate grilled catfish. I didn't, I, whoa, I didn't, that didn't make any

sense to me. Why would you choose an alternative that's clearly inferior? I really

did not know. I'm not joking. I did not know. But we have a guest coming up in just a moment. After that guest, I would like

you to tell it being National Catfish Day, your story quickly, because remember we got breaks, we got

to get in and out, it's not a 15 minute story, you got to get in and out, get right to the point of having been catfished.

And if you don't know what it means to be catfished, that means for you people that are out on the

dating market. That means she sends you a picture of herself.

Y'all are all online and she's curvacious and glorious and beautiful and all that and you show up and wow.

That's either not the person in the picture, which means it was a fake picture, or that was a long time ago, and these have been hard years.

Or maybe you had an interview with somebody who promised that they had all this incredible experience and they were this or that.

And ladies you get catfish too. We used to have a manager at the RCC and we would sit after our manager's meeting and

scroll through the list of guys you know it's a swipe right swipe left there's

all these different all these different sites now single people

going and it's just like people it's just like you're you're culling through cuts of

meat at the butcher shop and they're like no throw that one out and and the guys would would say you know who they were and

then we would go look them up in other places and find out they were catfishing
