the Michael Dairy Show is on the air. Last week I got an email about the State Championship Welding

competition.

And I thought that was very cool but what really got me was that

the school was having a sort of a pep rally send-off for the welder's as they left the school.

Every school from the beginning of time has a walkway, a covered walkway out of the building.

You know you got the posts, you got the thin sheet metal and you walk on there.

That's where all your memories of asking Wendy to go to prom

or talking to your buddies.

You see a picture, you go back and look at an old annual

that you're always walking along under

the awning I mean under that that covered walkway as the kids are walking down that covered walkway, there are students lined up cheering for them,

like a football team, like the basketball or the baseball team. How cool is that? When you bring some glory to things to things, then people will want to do it.

Because ain't anybody going to play football,

but all of them could go to be welders and have a great career for the rest of their lives.
