Michael, I appreciate you having me as always.

Mark, if you would start by explaining to folks who have a general sense that something's wrong at the border,

exactly what Title 42 was and why that mattered.

Yeah, and those are two very important questions because there's a misunderstanding with Title 42.

It's not an immigration policy, it's not a border security policy.

Title 42 is a public health policy and the owners of that are CDC.

And so back in March of 2020 under the Trump administration, I was there back as a commissioner.

CBP, as you said, we implemented that because the world was involved in a global pandemic and it was designed to prevent the further

introduction and spread of the global infectious disease in the United States.

We applied it, we applied it across the board.

And in my opinion, it saved countless American lives.

And today, I think as you listen to what we talk about it, that public health order comes to a close today.

I'm actually in El Paso, as we speak right now, Michael.

And we're starting to see the ramifications of not just the Indian of Title 42,

but the continuation of this administration's open border policy.
