I'm curious about this notion, and I'm actually all for being willing

to try new things. You know, in the work week, in the workplace, we've seen a rather dramatic

transformation, not just COVID, but a rather dramatic transformation over the last, I'd

say, 15 to 20 years, that has accelerated in the last 10, the four-day work week, the

stay-at-home worker, the hybrid work schedule, where you go into an office on Tuesday and

Thursday, that seems to be very, very common, which is good for traffic. I'll tell you

that. The staggered work week means fewer people going in and out for traffic. It's had mixed

results in terms of productivity. The younger workers really seem to like to work from home.

My guess is most of them, not all, lack the maturity to stay focused at home. If the real

reason to be at home is to hang out with your cat, I guess that depends on how distracting

your cat is to you. Is a Zoom meeting as productive as an in-person meeting? No, they're

both unproductive. Cancel them. You know, but I spend a lot of time thinking about little

things like this because they interest me a great deal. The trade-off, you can't measure

eight hours of working at home on a computer to eight hours of being in an office on a computer

for a number of reasons. Number one, the eight hours coming in going means another hour or two

in the traffic. How does that affect somebody? You give somebody back an hour or two per day.

That's an hour or two to either work for a diligent worker. It's an hour or two to work out.

It's an hour or two to read, to relax, to garden, to knit, to clean up their house.

How many people don't have to rush to get out of the house because they get a workman

coming to their house and they need to beat him there? How many times does that happen to you

if you don't have a stay-at-home wife who can meet the guys that come to the house, the plumbers

and electricians and all the things that go wrong and you have to do that. Or if you're the wife

...
