But first, the... The news became official this weekend with Sheila Jackson Lee announcing that she has pancreatic cancer.

As I had told you several months ago,

she had been diagnosed a bit back.

Pancreatic cancer, for those of you who have been around it, is typically a very fast moving insidious cancer.

I have lost several folks I knew and loved to pancreatic cancer and it is, I don't

think any of us wants any cancer, but it is a cancer that you definitely do not want.

There was some belief that had been published that she, or not had been but that had been

rumored that she had breast cancer which in today's world, breast cancer is

not depending on how advanced it is, is not as horrible a diagnosis as it once was.

Number of people emailing me asking my opinion. I'm not really sure how anyone who knows me

expects me to respond to that exactly

I announced it three months ago I I don't know that there's anything, anyone, I don't know. I don't know. I'm really pondering why people would want my response to that and what they might expect that

would be.

In any case, that is a personal matter for her and her family, not for me. What is a very public matter, which is of

great concern is the congressional seat to represent the over 500,000 people who live in the 18th

congressional district. the 18th Congressional District.

And this is where I do have some rather harsh things to say, and that is that there is a group of

people who have in the Greater Houston area monopolized and dominated the political system.
