Wayne Dauchofino was at Channel 13 when I was on City Council.

And he was the top investigative reporter at that station and in the city.

One of the best in the country.

And we would sit around, it's a horseshoe,

with an open area in the front,

and there's an area where the public can come up,

the mayor's in the front of the horseshoe.

And when Wayne would come to city council,

the city councilman would begin to get very uneasy.

Who was in the crossfire today?

Who was in the crossh should I say? Because Wayne was

about to make you look foolish because he was going to do the research. He was

going to come loaded for bear and he's a great storyteller.

And he puts some panache into it.

He might put some funny videos or music or whatever else.

I never once worried because I knew.

I didn't take kickbacks.

I didn't take kickbacks. I didn't do anything inappropriate. So I enjoyed watching people be uncomfortable.

And I'm not saying everybody was uncomfortable. There are plenty of other people who had nothing to worry about.

But there were a few that knew this might be it.

Dolchifino exemplifies the point I've made again and again and again and again.

The victory goes to the storyteller.
