| 0:00.0 | Hey guys, Joshua Lewis here with Remnant Radio, and I'll tell you about Rimcon this spring in San Diego, California. |
| 0:06.8 | The dates are February 5th through the 7th, and the subject of the conference is growing in the Gifts of the Spirit. |

| 0:22.6 | What are they? How do they operate? |
| 0:28.1 | There's also going to be opportunities to break out and practice spiritual gifts in a kind of biblical, |
| 0:33.9 | safe, and orderly way. We've got lectures from myself, Michael Miller, Michael Roundtry, John Mark Baker, from the Minor Prophets, and Dr. Sam Storms. So if you're looking to move beyond just the theoretical and learning the theology of spiritual guests, |
| 0:41.9 | but you're actually wanting to start practicing them for yourself, |
| 0:45.1 | I'd encourage you to come out and hang out with us February 5th through the 7th there in San Diego, California. |

| 1:04.4 | You are watching The Remnant Radio, a show where we interview, pastors, teachers, |
| 1:09.0 | and theologians from different churches and denominations. My name is Joshua Lewis. I'm the pastor of King's Fellowship Church in Ada, Oklahoma. And this is my co-host, Michael Roundtree, who leads Convergence OKC. Together, we want to help you break outside of your theological echo chambers. So if you're interested in learning about history, theology, and the gifts of the spirit, this is the show for you. Here in this program, we're going to be talking a little bit about, man, the assurance of salvation. We had a question that was sent in in our email. I don't know if you know this. We answer questions on our email all the time as we release the email. Hey, if you have questions, drop them in here. And then we live, you know, written responses. One of the questions that came in, we thought, man, deserved an entire video, so that's what we're doing today, is responding to a question that had been asked, hey, I want to know if I'm really saved. I'm wrestling through various sins, convert, believe in Jesus for my, you know, justification, I trust in him. But as all of this is happening, there's besetting sins, pride, and outburst of anger, a lust that'll creep up here and there. How can I really know that I'm saved if all of this sin is still within me? And that's kind of the reason that we've done this show today. But if you're out there and you have questions, man, I'd encourage you to subscribe to the newsletter. We often answer those questions there and would point you into other videos that we've had. So some people ask questions that we've already answered and we can help resource them there on that email as well. So make sure to subscribe, like the video, those kinds of things because we're coming out with content like this all the time. We've got courses, conferences, Patreon video, and if you really want to stay up to date |
| 2:38.5 | on all those things, the newsletter is the way to do it. I'm going to introduce to you my buddy. |
| 2:46.1 | How are you doing over there in Oklahoma City? I accidentally muted myself somehow. I don't know how |
| 2:48.8 | that happened. I heard you. No, we're doing good, man. I got two kids football games this evening, so my wife and I are going to have to split duty. I go to one. She goes to the other. Excited about this episode, it's an important one to me. A lot of you guys know that I'm a Calvinist. Josh, not a Calvinist. Miller is not a Calvinist. And so I'm the lone one representing |
| 3:10.8 | this position here. And in my early days of Calvinism, in just my culture that I was a part of, a lot of people, |
| 3:21.1 | they made it seem like a virtue to doubt your salvation. I have seen that sometimes in Calvinist camps. I'm a Calvinist. I think that's not a virtue at all. I don't think that's good. I think God wants us to have assurance of salvation. But I was so often, like I had this verse quoted to me saying, saying, Corinthians 13, 5, where it says, you know, test yourselves and see whether you're in the |
| 3:41.8 | faith. And I can I can picture angry people saying, test yourselves, test yourselves, test yourselves. |
