The Actors Union signs agreement to eliminate casting couch,

which is funny because casting couch seems like something that you only see important,

but it's actually a real thing.

And when they say casting couch, they mean like private meetings and like hotels or restaurants.

That young actors, female actors usually have a lot of times with prominent men in the industry.

And so this was a half post to women article and the deal following the fall of Harvey Weinstein

and the rise of the Me Too movement aims to further an entertainment industry culture change.

So SAG after which is the country's largest actors union has announced a new agreement

with broadcast networks including ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox,

that aims to reduce auditions or meetings for members in private hotel rooms or residences,

which surprisingly happens a lot.
