I want you to turn to two passages of scripture please turn to John chapter 12 and Mark chapter 14.

So open your Bibles to John 12. That's where we'll begin and then put a marker at Mark chapter 14 and

we'll flip over there later in the message. We're continuing the series The Blessed Life

which has to do with every area of our life yet we're focusing on the

financial part because Jesus said where your treasure is there your heart will be also.

And I want to say something to you as your pastor and I want you to your because you're catching it. You're catching a biblical principle that will change your life,

will bless you, and will affect the kingdom of God.

Just like if I were to preach on prayer and many of you come up to

me and you said I'm catching it, I'm hearing things I've never heard before, God's doing a work

in my heart, it'd be the same thing because you're catching a principle in the Bible such as prayer that will

change your life and will build the kingdom.

And that's what we're talking about in this series, all right?

Today's message is, am I generous? Am I generous? And I put it in the first

person because if anybody asks you this next week, what was the sermon on? I didn't want it to be in the second person. I didn't want

you to say, well the title was, are you generous? The reason is I wanted each of us to answer this question, including me.

And I want you to think about it, even this next week when you think about the title,

I want you to think about this question, am I generous?

Now look at John chapter 12 beginning verse 1.

John 12 verse 1.

Then six days before the Passover, and this is the Passover where Jesus was crucified

Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus was who had been dead whom he had raised from the dead.

It's been about two months by the way way, since Lazarus was raised from that.
