My question today is I would like to know if I am being unreasonable with some

financial expectations of my college age daughters.

Okay, clarify that so I know what you mean.

Okay, so little background. I am divorced and have been for many years. My ex-husband is a very good provider, always was, financially speaking.

So my children haven't had it, I guess, super, super hard.

We'll just say that.

Now that they're in college, I am being asked

to put more money towards their expenses and when I talk about expenses I'm not

talking about electric bills I'm talking about getting your nails done, going out.

Putting gas in your car.

If you've spoiled them while they were growing up,

then they expect this stuff.

So you've kind of trained them not to rely on themselves which is not a

good way to send kids into the world but you're being you would be a bad

mother if you catered to this. I didn't get any allowance when I was in school. I had

to work in the chemistry library, the biology department to make money for

expenditures and I didn't have a manicure for four years
