Summary

Some ghosts slam doors. Others scream, wail, or throw things. But sometimes... the quiet ones are the hardest to shake. When Lilly moved into a modest apartment with her family in 2000, she never expected it to come with an unseen roommate—a little boy who whispered from the bathroom, peeked around corners, and knocked twice to see if anyone was still awake. Over the years, strange activity escalated—from disappearing socks in the freezer to locked doors and footsteps in the hall. But once she moved out, everything stopped... back at the apartment, anyway. Now, miles away and grown up, she still hears those soft taps in the night. Always two. Never three.
