Our scriptural text today comes from the 73rd division of the Psalms, verse 1 through 3 in the new living translation of the scripture.

You'll notice there these words, truly God is good to Israel, to those whose hearts are pure.

But as for me, I almost lost my footing.

My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone.

For I invid the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness.

And I'm speaking today, simply from the subject, almost. Almost,

almost. Almost is insufficient for an abundant and a fulfilled life. It has a certain insufficiency

in it. It wasn't quite good enough.

You don't want to just have a diet that you almost stick to.

You don't want just an exercise plan that you almost stick to.

You don't want to just almost graduate.

Almost never won any races. Almost never won any battles. Almost. It was a you have to finish things. That's what you learn from. You learn by

finishing things. You learn by finishing things. When you started something that you know that

this is a part of my destiny as I work through the

challenges every time that you start something worth having or worth doing you will run into

difficulty where you will be tempted to just quit it's just easier to call it quits and say, I don't want to have to deal

with all of this. But almost it's supposed to be a place of transition. It is not designed as a

permanent home. It's a place of transition. I'm in progress toward a particular goal,

toward a dream, toward a vision. I'm working toward destiny. I'm almost there. So when you're

on a trip with your children, and you know, they ask the infamous question,

are we there yet?
