Ohio State welcomed Oregon for a noon start aiming to send a national message. Oh, there was a message sent. But it wasn’t the one we expected.

Oregon exposed Ohio State’s defense en route to a 42-35 win. The Buckeyes offense? Not without issues.

1:08.0	confident about a game going in. Then when I saw Justin Flow and Cave on
1:12.6	Tibidell weren't playing, I was even more confident and I was just wrong. No
1:16.9	other way around it. I had too much confidence in certain people. I extended
1:21.4	too much of the benefit of the doubt. People are looking for individuals to
1:26.2	blame. I think there's plenty of blame to go around. I don't think the offense
1:31.1	played well enough to win this game. I think they played well enough to win a game
1:35.3	that the defense plays passively. My vibe on who's to blame for the defense is
1:41.4	this is Ryan Day's fault. He's the head coach. So everything falls under Ryan
1:45.5	Day's purview. But I don't see one player on the defense right now that I would
1:49.0	say is playing well. And when that's the case, I usually think it's
1:52.6	who's in charge. So Kerry Gomes is going to take the abuse. Also, I've been
1:57.9	watching football for a long time and I saw two things yesterday. I'm not sure
