I am Sam Staiskel, joined once again by my friend and colleague Paul Tenorio.

Paul, it is great to have you back on the show.

I'm excited about that. We have a decent amount

to discuss. The U.S. men's national team, the June window continues. Since our last show,

they played a scoreless draw against Uruguay and Kansas City. Lots to reflect on, I think, from that

and lots to look forward to, maybe not so much to the final two games of this window which

are against weaker opponents but really to kind of project and and ask questions about

over the next five months what's going to happen between now and November 21st when the

US kicks off their World Cup against Wales in Qatar so Paul, Paul, I don't know, I don't know,

I don't even know where to start. Do we start with Uruguay? Do we start with, do we start with your

overall thoughts? You didn't get to talk about Morocco. So if you want to, if you want to drop any,

any thoughts there off the top, you can go ahead and do that but um yeah lots to reflect on for sure

yeah um no i think um i watched the uruguay game actually today just going over it uh again and i

feel like you know especially when i look at the first half and you look at kind of the team that

the first choice team of this roster for the most part, I came away feeling decent.

I mean, I think the issues that were there in Morocco kind of continued here, which is

especially in regards to defensive shape.

Joe Scali kind of took a lot of the heat on that from what I saw.

But I think there were communication issues in both games defensively

to be expected for multiple reasons.

One, because the U.S. was playing a different shape
