nicer than comparing me to an eight-month-old like you did last week. My dad texted me about that, by the way. I didn't know what he was talking about, and he had to remind me, but just thought I'd let you know. Well, thank you to Mr. Staskel for listening. that's all we really care about right um anyway uh it's still a weird time to be covering mLS and

soccer it's still a very strange and scary and stressful time just to be in the world with everything

going on with coronavirus so our main goal for this show is to have a little bit of fun to hopefully take your mind off things.

I know that I've been weighed down a little bit this past week just with everything going on.

I'm here in New York City and obviously there's a lot of bad things happening with the outbreak and the disease.

And unfortunately, a lot of people dying.

So hopefully, hopefully that starts to change.

But tonight we're going to have some fun.

So that's the goal.

We have some funny stories for you guys, kind of inspired by the piece that our colleague Pablo Mauer and I did earlier this week.

Just to kind of take your mind off things and have a few laughs along the way. However, Paul, first, and I know you know where I'm

going here, first I need to get on my soapbox a little bit. Is that all right with you?

I think that that's the purpose of this podcast is to give you a bigger soapbox. So get out of it.

There has been a lot of reports in the news recently about other sports leagues and other teams in other sports

leagues, particularly in the NHL, you know, the Bruins, the Boston Bruins announced some layoffs
