MLS and the MLSPA. They're going to be doing this for another week.

MLS announced this morning that it had extended its deadline, which was Thursday night,

at some time that was never entirely clear to most people.

But in the wee hours of Thursday night,

Friday morning. On Friday, they announced that they'll extend that deadline another week.

They also announced that they are not cool with the player's compromise offer of extending

the CBA by one year. They are holding firm to their stance that they need to extend the CBA by two years.

And they said that if a deal is not reached by the new deadline, which is 11.59 p.m.

Eastern on Thursday, February 4th.

I guess we're going to have to wait to record next week's show until Friday, too, Paul, potentially.

But if there's no, if there's no

agreement reached by that deadline, the MLS Labor Committee, which is

composed of a group of owners who were not entirely sure which

owners are on that labor committee, they unanimously voted to lock the

players out if an agreement is not reached by that deadline.

So that's where things currently stand.

MLSPA has made an offer.

The league sort of reiterated their previous offer, but hasn't formally made a new proposal to the MLSPA.
