the collective bargaining agreement makes it very difficult for

Joe Mixin to hold out. Do you know why the collective bargaining agreement puts Joe Mixin

in an impossible situation.

Why?

You must report on the first day of training camp

or you forfeit that season on your contract.

So that's a problem if you're trying to become an unrestricted free agent. If you don't report for day one of training camp you become a restricted free agent you remain under team control

So if your goal is to hit the market, you got to report to camp.
