So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I am very blessed this evening to be at the Klausen Farm.

I'm out in Holden, Missouri. We are outside with a fantastic bonfire. Had food and and few beverages and good conversation.

Now we're gonna pray the rosary together.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. You know I was just thinking we need to have a big

rosary tailgate bonfire out here. We'll have to set the date for that soon.

So let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for, especially for Don, in Omaha, who's battling cancer, to pray for him for little Olivia Caneli and for

Damien for the healing of their cluster seizures for Rick Mendoza in the hospital for all those on our heart.

Now 2,400 years ago, the Greek philosopher Plato wrote the allegory of the cave about a group

of prisoners who were confined in a cave from birth with no knowledge of the outside world.

They were chained facing a wall, unable to turn their heads,

while a fire behind them gave off a faint light.

Occasionally people passed by the fire carrying objects to cast shadows on the wall

and the prisoners named these shadows, believing that they were seeing real things and not mere shadows.

Suddenly one prisoner broke free and walked out into the light for the first time.

The sunlight hurt his eyes, and he found his new environment disorienting.

When told the things around him are real,

in the shadows on the wall of the cave mere illusions,

he couldn't believe it at first,

because he was so accustomed to the dark,

and the shadows appeared as the only reality to him.
