0:49.2	didn't have to worry about trends like underage drinking or people texting and driving.
0:55.6	But we know that this is simply not how things go. They never have, and they never will. So where does this leave us? It leaves us to
1:01.7	focus on the one thing we control. As Marcus Aurelius wrote, it doesn't matter what other people do or say or
1:07.6	think. Only matters what you do. As a parent, all we control is what we teach
1:13.2	our kids, what we do for and with them. We don't control whether our hard work pays off. We don't
1:17.9	control who our kids come in contact with. We don't control most of what happens in the world.
1:22.9	We don't control whether they listen to us or not. We don't control who's on the road when they are.
1:27.3	We don't control if they on the road when they are.
1:31.1	We don't control if they get injured in a football game or hurt by their first boyfriend.
1:39.4	What we control is what we do in response. What we control is how we play, how we parent.
