Today we'll be interviewing somebody who we all know from Twitter.

He is one of the best, if not the best,

the best, HBCU president we have out there.

His name is Dr. Walter Kimbrough.

He's the president of Dillard University.

He's going to talk to us about the future of our historically black colleges

and universities. But before I get to our conversation

with Dr. Kimbrough, I wanted to talk about a meeting last week in the White House between

the President-elect and Vice President-elect and our quote-unquote legacy civil rights

organizations. In case you missed it last week the NAACP, the National Urban

League, the National Action Network, the Black Women's Roundtable,

the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights All Met. Here's a clip.

One of the things I'd be concerned about.

Just as was pointed out to me that you wanted me to be concerned, Derek, I think as you said it about you know dealing with

Vilsack as in in terms of a of agriculture well first of all you can learn more about

Vilsack's record but my point is this I don't think we should make that a big

issue going into before January 5th when the election takes place down in in Georgia.

But I also don't think we should get too far ahead of ourselves on dealing with police reform

in that because they've already labeled us as being defund the police. Anything we put forward in terms of the organizational structure

to change policing, which I promise you will occur.
