| 0:17.7 | And today I'm going to tell you about some fantastic books that I finally |
| 0:21.0 | got to while on a kind of solo sojourn in the woods recently. Some friends were kind enough to let me |
| 0:27.2 | stay in their beautiful, cozy cabin in the Olympic Peninsula just a couple weeks ago when I needed |
| 0:33.4 | to just get away. I needed to be off of screens and just do some reading and writing and hear my own thoughts. And this was the perfect setting to do all of that. So I got to a bunch of books that I've been meaning to read for a bit, stuff that was sitting on my nightstand, that I've been carting around all over the place in my bag, holds that I had suspended and unsuspended on Libby. So sorry, I love you so much. But anyway, I got to some stuff and I loved absolutely all of it. So I want to tell you about two of my favorites today. One is a contemporary YAA mystery set at a high school with a mystery themed game at the heart of the book itself. So it's a mystery about a mystery. And it's great for fans of classic detective fiction and mysteries in general. Oh, it's just a,'s so Vanessa Coded. I can't wait to tell you more. And the other is a delightfully witchly, witchy middle grade fantasy. That one's just a warm hug of a book for adults looking for just a delightful read, but also, of course, for kids who are looking for something witchy to sink their teeth into. And it's the first in a series. |
