I'll be honest, the only thing that the two books that I'm going to talk about today have in common is that they're just two fiction books that have been around for a few years that I finally got

to in 2025. Again, they're both fiction, so I guess let's hang the similarity on that.

One is historical fiction, because believe it or not, set in 1969 counts as historical fiction these days. And that one is by an author that I've been meaning to read whose book I just happened to find in a used bookstore. So I picked it up. We're going to talk about it. The other book is one that I'd heard of, but finally picked up because of an adaptation. That's a little teaser for you. It's a sci-fi adaptation.
