| 0:00.0 | You're listening to All the More Books, a weekly show about books of all kinds. |
| 0:16.1 | I'm your host, Vanessa Diaz. |
| 0:17.4 | This episode is airing on Friday, April 10th. |
| 0:19.3 | And today I'm going to tell you about |
| 0:21.3 | three books of a mystery flavor. I feel like I've been leaning a lot into mysteries this year, |
| 0:26.8 | or at least it feels that way. So this is probably a refrain I have uttered on this podcast before. |
| 0:31.6 | But again, these times, they are trying. This is something that I feel like I reliably reach |
| 0:36.8 | for when I want a read that's going to do what I want it to do for me. I do a lot of mystery. I also say there about a lot of genres, though, so you know, go with it. One of these is actually more of a true crime, which definitely I feel like still falls under that umbrella of interest for me, but it's by one of the best nonfiction writers of our time, at least I believe that |
| 0:54.6 | to be the case, who also happens to have a new book out right now that is fantastic that I |
| 0:58.6 | talked about on the main show. The second is a murder mystery, but involving a fake murder and the |
| 1:05.3 | cozy setting that is the English countryside. That's just a lot of fun. And then the third is a mystery that I went to rediscover having read it and talked about it a couple of years ago by a Latina author with a cool focus on a younger YA audience, which is a thing I feel like I don't see enough of. We're aging YA up a lot. And that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's nice to see something that's kind of upper, middle grade, lower, Y, A, in a mystery. And also with a little bit of spy work thrown in there. So I'm going to tell you about my three picks. But first, let's hear from a sponsor. This episode is brought to you by Cozy Earth. I'm a person who loves sleep. Like like really, really loves it. Getting into bed at night |
| 1:46.0 | is genuinely one of my favorite parts of the day, and I take it seriously. So when I say |
| 1:50.3 | cozy earth sheets stepped up bedtime for me, that means something. They're made from viscose from |
| 1:55.2 | bamboo. They're breathable and temperature regulating with a satine finish that gets softer |
| 1:59.7 | every time you wash them. |
| 2:01.3 | The kind of sheets that make an already good thing even better. |
| 2:05.0 | And right now, Cozy Earth is doing something really good for Mother's Day. |
| 2:08.4 | A buy one, give one offer on sheet sets running April 12th through 18th. |
| 2:12.6 | So you get a set for yourself and one to give the mom in your life because she's probably been sleeping |
| 2:17.6 | on the same sheets for longer than either of you wants to admit. |
| 2:21.4 | Every set comes with a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty against pilling and |
| 2:26.0 | wear. |
