| 0:04.4 | but the offense was having none of it against trade deadline acquisition, John Duran. |
| 0:09.1 | Nobody out, bottom of the ninth, 5.5. The two own a Nimmo. |
| 0:13.2 | Swinging a line to the left center, base head, put it in the box. The Mets have made it two straight over the Phillies. |
| 0:19.4 | Arte scores from third. The Mets pour out of the dugout. Nimmo's waiting for him between first and second. Here comes the shower of water and sunflower seeds. And eventually the Gatorade Bath from Pete Alonzo, as Nimmo did his on-field interview with Steve Gelbs on S&Y. That was Howie Rose. Hi, I'm Howie Rose. Hey, Howie. Odyssey Mets Radio, tremendous as always. Four straight hits off Duran. Three of them were lasers from Marte Alonzo. And then the game winner we just heard from Nimmo to send the Mets past the Phil's 6 to 5. It's their ninth straight home win over the division rival, including last year's postseason. here's Nimmo on the street. We know they're a very, very good team, very talented. It can beat anybody on any day. And we respect that, but we also know that we're a very, very good team. And so it's two powerhouses going against each other, and it comes down to the small things. And they're doing the small things well in this matchup, at least in recent memory. And all of that came after Hellsley had served up the game tying two-run Homer to Harrison Bader in the top of the eighth. So Edwin Diaz comes on to clean up that mess and then he just blows away the trio of Schwerber, Harper and Real Mudo in the ninth. five straight outs on 22 pitches, four strikeouts for Diaz, just his second appearance in a week and a half. When I feel good and healthy, I told Mandy I'm ready for whatever you need me. You know, today they call early when Hesley come, go to pitch. I'd be ready to throw multiple, like, more than four outs. And that's exactly what he did. And sometimes pitched a lot. He's not sharp and he's all over the math, but he was on point last night. It's about as good as you'll see him. I agree. That was mesmerizing the way he pitched last night. Going through some key parts of the Phillies lineup. Tyler Rogers also excellent in the seventh one, two, three against that same trio. We just mentioned a seven pitch inning for him. |
| 1:58.6 | And Pete Alonzo offensively four for five, including a single on that ninth inning, plus the go-ahead two-run double as part of a five-run. Fifth inning rally right after the Phil's had taken the lead in the top half and knocked starter, Sean Maniah out of the game. You know what's funny about that before you go on, though? The amazing thing about that fifth inning rally, |
| 2:01.0 | it starts with an 02 hit by pitch. Yes. |
| 2:01.6 | It's amazing how out of the game. You know, it's funny about that before you go on, though. The amazing thing about that fifth inning rally, it starts with an O2 hit by pitch. |
| 2:19.7 | Yes. |
| 2:20.3 | It's amazing how, like a pitcher, whether it's a walk or in a case like that, where you're dominating the at bat and you just give up the base. And then it was like, you know, a hurricane after that. Yes. And by the time Luzardo came out, he was barking at the umpire and got himself run out of the game. |
| 2:18.4 | Not that it mattered at that point. |
| 2:19.6 | I was going to say that. |
| 2:20.6 | What was the point? to that friend. And by the time Luzardo came out, he was barking at the umpire and got himself |
| 2:34.7 | run out of the game. Not that it mattered at that point. I was going to say that. What was the point of throwing him out when he was already getting pulled? Maybe there was like a fine. Who knows? I don't know how that works with the league. Like I would have set me off more. I'm already leaving. He would throw me out. I would have charged out. Well, then he might have got suspended. At that point, I'm off. |
| 2:32.3 | My work is already burnt out. |
| 2:33.5 | Philly's TV and the... I would have charged out. Well, then he might have got suspended. At that point, I'm off. |
| 2:52.3 | My wife is already burnt out. Philly's TV in the interaction with the ump, when Soto called the time out, when it was granted, and Lazzardo came down. Oh, sure. They were like, J.T., meaning Real Mood, you better get out there because they didn't want to see him get injected at that point. Yeah. I don't blame him, by the way. |
| 2:47.9 | You mentioned it. |
| 2:48.7 | I agree. |
| 2:49.4 | And I get it's a young umpire. |
| 2:50.7 | It's fine. |
| 2:51.2 | But it was a very late time. want to see him get injected at that point. Yeah. I don't blame him, by the way. You mentioned it. I agree. |
