This is episode number 279 and a half and today I'm going to talk about a couple backlist titles that I'm excited to share with you.

Hi everyone, happy autumn.

Though at the time I'm recording this show, it is 90-something degrees where I am. Oh well, I am really excited to report to all of

you that the other day I watched hocus pocus for the first time. Wow, it is so incredibly 1993. I certainly enjoyed it. I am hoping it

cools down soon so I can get back to baking. A couple weeks ago I made pancake bread, which I had just learned about.

Pancake bread is a quick bread like banana bread or pumpkin bread, but it's made with maple and

vanilla and buttermilk, and the one I made from the King Arthur's flower

blog or whatever had a crumble topping and it was just like eating a loaf version of pancakes.

And pancakes are definitely one of my favorite foods and this bread was amazing.
