And today I want to recommend a couple of queer YA horror books that I love.

So I know that you are listening to this in November, but I am recording this back in time, and I am still fully in the Halloween spirit.

It is not yet Halloween here.

And I have recently gotten way more into horror in general.

Usually I'll only read it in October.

But this year and last, it started to creep in to my other monthly TBRs as well. I'm kind of a reluctant horror reader because I used to pretty much hate horror, especially horror movies, but somehow all of the people that I love,

all of my best friends tend to really get into horror.

So I have been dragged into admitting that actually some horror is great.

And now I'm actively seeking it out on my own.

I don't know how it happened.

But October is always my big horror reading month,

and it's only ramped up over the years. So this month I have so many horror books on my TBR. It is

absurd. I have a stack of books out from the library. I put holds on and I freeze them until October. So

those holds stack up throughout the year and now they're all in. So that is my headspace. I know

you're past it, but I am so excited because this upcoming weekend, again, I'm sorry, I know it's not true for you, but for me, I'm about to enter Dewey's 24-hour readathon, which I look forward to all year.

And for October's readathon, I read a bunch of horror books.
