And today I'm going to be talking about a couple of queer YA books that I love.

I am usually thinking about queer books, so this isn't really an exception if you don't

know me.

I run a site called Lesbury, which I have had for more than 10 years.

And I review sapphic books there.

And I also have a newsletter with book rack called R Queer Shelves, where twice a week

I talk about queer books that I love, new queer books that are out, links, cool things

to check out.

So it is definitely something that I am passionate about.

And it is not a surprise that I'm thinking about it this week.

But one of the reasons that I want to talk about queer YA books is because they have seen

a lot of hate recently.

I am recording during the trans rights readathon, which if you're listening to it, when this

comes out, you still have a chance to join in.

But it's always a good time to read trans books and support trans causes.

This is a readathon started by Sim Kern, who is a non-binary author, who created this decentralized

fundraiser, where people can read a lot of trans books and also donate and encourage

their followers to donate to any number of trans organizations, nonprofits, or your own

friends who are raising money for gender affirming surgery or anything that is at all relevant.
