Just another word here as I was reading through the whole Jamie Atkinson story.

I must have met him at some point when I moved to Sayville,

especially because he was so involved with the Navy Seal Museum.

But this is just reading through his accomplishments in 43 years of age.

He had 19. He was down there working at Ground Zero and inhalation of toxic debris and search and rescue operations led to a rare form of cancer diagnosed years later and officially linked to his 9-11 service and that was what he was battling um and then just

passed away recently but all the things he did for community and EMS and you know he served the

mta police department he went to you know graduate NYPD police academy i mean just so many

different things that he was involved with, the Navy SEAL Museum.

I mean, really an inspiration in 19. Think about that, 19 years old going down there.

And got to truly admire the bravery, the self-awareness to support his community and then ultimately do what he did in his life in such a short

period of time is nothing short of amazing and it gives you actually a hopeful perspective of the

human spirit yeah 100% and uh yeah i wish i would have known him better i saw the the big you know

um ceremony out there on main street the other

day so uh i just wanted to give him a proper um you know just uh word this morning to make sure

i got his name out there and everything he did because that's that's a local guy that you

aspire to be someone like Jamie there.

So unfortunate that he passed away at such a young age of 43.
