In what is now the longest state of the union address and recorded history, President Trump spoke for almost two hours to a joint session of Congress Tuesday night,

touting his accomplishments on lowering crime and border crossings before pivoting to health care and housing.

He's also issued a sharp rebuttal to the Supreme Court for ruling his sweeping tariffs unconstitutional.

The good news is that almost all countries and corporations want to keep the deal that they already made, right, Scott, knowing that the legal power that I as president have to make a new deal could be far worse for them, and therefore they will continue to work along the same successful path that we had

negotiated before the Supreme Court's unfortunate involvement.

Meanwhile, the stakes are our highest in the Middle East, with negotiators meeting in Geneva

this week to resume talks on Iran's nuclear program.

With that, let's bring in our panel, Republican

strategist and co-founder of South and Hill Strategies, Colin Reed, former chief of staff to the

Biden White House press office, Yemisi Agbewali, and Fox News, congressional correspondent,

Bill Malusian. Bill, the fallout from the state of the union is what? Republicans energized, Democrats angry?

What is it?

I'd say Republicans are pretty energized.

The moment they've been highlighting on the hill today, I just walked over from there,

was the moment when President Trump asked all of Congress to please stand up if you support

American citizens over illegal immigrants. And we all saw every single Democrat remain seated. And Republicans have been blasting them for that. And just about an hour ago, I asked Chuck Schumer, why didn't you guys stand up? Was that a political mistake not to do so? And he replied to me, of course we support Americans, but we're not going to be a prop in Donald Trump's little show. So Republicans are planning to capitalize on this. Brett, as soon as that happened, I got a text from the NRCC. They said that was, quote, a beautiful gift. They're going to start cutting campaign ads for the midterms with it and they say that democrats are gonna have to get real comfortable watching back that

footage of their party essentially sitting down for americans and uh instead from their

perspective supporting illegal immigrants yeah yamese you know it's an interesting line from

sender schumer about uh not being props but you know, we see this no matter who the president is, this up one side, standing up the other side, not, and being used in campaign ads come midterm elections.

Yeah, the action of when you clap and when you sit has kind of over-emphasized a lot of the

state of the union, especially in recent years. I think Democrats played it really, really well.
