Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we promise to pray for.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit want to come and live within us to enable us to live his sons and daughters of God, to become excellent humans living, really an

imitation of Christ. But what prevents us from achieving this? Well, our disordered attachments and vices.

In fact, the Book of Revelation says that nothing unholy will enter heaven.

That means that pride, vain ambition, envy, anger, sloth, greed, gluttony, lust, gossip, resentment, and so on,

these things cannot be in heaven. Well, then what are we going to do? No, I don't mean

we won't have any fun in heaven if those vices aren't there. I mean, what are we going to do

if we have these vices in us when we die and those vices can't be in heaven?

Well, we're going to need to get rid of them. We'll need to be purified.

The catechism says,

All who die in God's grace and friendship,

but still imperfectly purified,

are indeed assured of their eternal salvation,

but after death, they'll need to undergo a purification,

so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallow it be your name.

Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, amen.
