Welcome to our rosary meditation.

Yesterday, I was sad because my favorite rosary had been missing for many months.

And I said to our lady, you need to give me a good rosary, a new rosary.

Then my wife receives a text from the mother of a wonderful girl named Joan who had just made me a rosary.

And then her mom came and dropped it off. I am so thankful to Joan for being a good

donkey of Mary to make me a rosary and to send it. And I am so excited to pray with that rosary tonight. So let's begin in the name of

the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those that we promised to pray

for. Now today, November 1st, we celebrate all the saints in heaven. As the book of Revelation tells us,

a great multitude which no man could number from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues.

Why do we celebrate this feast? I love what St. Bernard of Clairvaux says.

I tell you, when I think of them, I feel myself inflamed by a tremendous yearning.

This is the purpose of All Saints Day, says Pope Benedict, to reawaken within us the great longing to be like them, happy to live

near God, in his sight, in the great family of God's friends. Being a saint means living

close to God to live in his family, and this is the vocation, the calling of us all. But how can we become

holy friends of God? First, let me remind you of reality. You are already a very close friend of God.

And by virtue of your baptism, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, live in your soul.

God likes you so much that he lives within you.

So stop with the idea that maybe if you become worthy, someday you might be God's friend.

We already are.

And the goal of our life is not to one day have intimacy with Christ.

We already have intimacy with Him.
