My Lord and my God, I firmly believe that you are here, that you see me, that you hear me.

I adore you with profound reverence.

Ask your pardon for my sins and the grace to make this time of prayer fruitful.

My Immaculate Mother, St. Joseph, my father, and Lord, my guardian angel,

intercede for me. The Feast of All Saints, a reading from the Gospel of Matthew,

Chapter 5. Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him.

He opened his mouth and taught them, saying,

Blessed are the poor and spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn,

for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are you,

when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven.

Rejoice, says the Lord, for your reward is great in heaven.

Today we celebrate a great feast.

It's the feast day of all those who are in heaven whose names we do not know.

Heaven is packed with saints, and we know the names and lives of many saints. We know of some popes,

bishops, and priests, we know of some virgins and martyrs, some heroic mothers and fathers and girls and boys.

But there are millions more that we do not know anything about.

Teachers, shop assistants, housewives, athletes, gardeners, and soldiers, children, teenagers, young people, and old people.

Sick and healthy, black and white, tall and short, with blonde

hair and red hair, from all countries, from all ages, from all trades, from every walk of life.
