Summary

The fourth Democratic presidential debate is behind us and the hacks are here to break it all down.  All eyes are on Liz Warren as she gets frontrunner treatment for the very first time: how did she fare?  Buttigieg bites back: is this a turning point for the South Bend mayor?  Biden becomes background: can his candidacy sustain steam? Amy brought her A-game: but is this too little, too late?  What’s not working for Cory Booker?  Plus, the hacks dive into what the latest FEC filings mean for each of the candidates. ...All this, and much more! Hey, Polpa Chair. It's Hacks on Taft with David Axelrod and Mike Murphy.

0:24.1

Well Axe, another contest of champions. You were there in Ohio. I was down here in the

0:29.0

Vital Swing State of Florida. What do you think? I think that this is going to be a

0:35.2

real experiment. This Hacks on Taft because is it morning or night? I'm not sure.

0:40.6

Went late here in Columbus. I'm operating on fumes, but I'll tell you what I

0:45.2

observer and a commentator in one of these debates, but an active fighting

1:38.8

participant. And I saw him with you guys on CNN afterward and he had the gleam in

1:43.4

his eye of somebody who figured out that if you draw a little blood, it tastes

1:46.5

good. So I think if Pete breaks through in Iowa and New Hampshire and really gets

1:51.4

in this race, last night will be where it started for him. Well, I agree with you.

1:57.2

And I think that was his objective going into the race. They sort of signaled

2:01.2

that he was going to tangle with Warren, maybe with Beto, you know, Warren over

2:08.1

Medicare for all more of that in a second. And but he needed to look, we've talked
