The baker is incensed.

According to the folktale, it goes like this.

Every day, a poor citizen of the neighborhood would come stand in front of the bakery,

and inhale deeply the smells coming out of the ovens.

The person down on his luck said, well, I can't eat well, but at least I can smell these delicious

odors.

The baker was incensed, theft was occurring.

He went to the local judge who dragged in the poor citizen.

And they said to the citizen, what are you doing?

The citizen confessed, I'm standing in front of the bakery, breathing in these delicious

odors.

Well, the judge looked at him and said, that's theft.

Go home and bring in all of your money.

Every penny you have.

The citizen couldn't believe it.

He grabbed the money from home, came with tears in his eyes to the judge.

The judge took his money and said to the baker, come, come here.

And the baker approached the judge.

The judge took the money and jingled it loudly right next to the baker's ear and then handed

it back to the poor citizen.

And he scolded the baker and he said, you lost nothing when that man smelled your baked

goods.
