And I'm Kara Klank. And when we're not starting the episode in a completely unhinged manner, we are recapping episodes of SVU talking about the true crimes they're based on interviewing

celeb guests, actors from the episode, and chatting about the world at large.

Yeah, we got a great guest today.

But first, last night, look, this is coming out probably a few days later, so it's going

to be a little bit of old news, but last night was the Emmys. And I would say Law and Order had a massive presence. Yes. They did this. It felt very stilted to me. Like for people that have been career actors, it just felt like everybody was really reading. Maybe they didn't rehearse. Maybe, yeah, it was a teleprompter moment.

Yeah, I don't think there, it didn't feel like there was a lot of rehearsal. And then, like, I think I C's first line was a joke. But it was all about Mariska. Yeah. The first line that I said was a joke, but I think it got swallowed. And so it was just kind of awkward silence. and then it was like, okay, guys, this isn't the roast of Mariska Hargate,

but it was cute to see them all. Fashion-wise, I hated what Christopher Maloney was wearing.

The pants were a weird cut. The pants were a weird cut. I did not like this, like,

this like, it looked like hypercolor.

It reminded me of a hypercolor shirt from when I was like a kid.

She was wearing something different on the Emmy stage than what she was wearing the red.

Both amazing.

The red looked so beautiful.

She's really just crushing it in every.

But then I watched Nikki Bell, who I love watching his reviews, and he did not like Mirchka's red dress. And I was like, not that I agree with all of his takes, but I was surprised because I just thought she looked like stunning. I don't know. They all look good. Tony Goldwyn, I'm like, is he like in the reboot or something? I'm like, one of these does not belong.

He's in the original recipe reboot. Yes. In the reboot, reboot. Yeah, because I was looking at him and I go, what, because you were in one episode of Dexter? Why are you here? No, no, no, no, no. But he does look good. I mean, listen, they're a good group. I like any time they get attention.

Yeah.
