In 1999, 24-year-old Kelly Lane gave birth to a little boy and began the process of putting

him up for adoption. She told the social worker that the baby was her first and that she was an athlete

trying to go to the Olympics, which didn't give her the ability to care

for a child. She also said that her boyfriend was the father and he was living in London, not wanting

any part of the baby's life. It seemed like a pretty straightforward case until the social

worker did a bit of digging and realized that nothing that Kelly had told her was the truth.
