Hi Fat Malie, for today's episode we are introducing you to another podcast we really love.

It's called All My Relations and it's hosted by Matika and Adrian,

who explore what it means to be an indigenous person today.

They talk about everything from food sovereignty to mascots, fashion, literature, sex, relationships,

DNA, identity, politics, and more through their lens.

They often push back against the ways that indigenous people are represented on screen,

and as they say, the podcast comes from a desire to have more indigenous voices accessible in mainstream media.

Sounds pretty familiar to us at SAF. We love seeing folks telling their own stories.

This episode is really crucial for non-Ind indigenous members of our family to learn from.

In previous seasons, we've explored the ways that fat activism intersects with lots of other identities and

movements, and learning about how to uplift indigenous folks and communities is really essential.

We talk a lot about how our gorgeous fat bodies deserve to take up space,

but we also need to interrogate the ways we are

complicit in taking up space on stolen land. And for our indigenous

members of the Fat Malie, we are sending you some extra love and fat

goodness this week.
