Hi guys, welcome to this new year special bonus edition of the Orkula No Fillup podcast.

I'm just here to give you a little heads up about this episode. It's a bit different.

We're interviewing a friend of ours who will introduce themselves in just a second,

but I also wanted to do a thing we haven't done before and we probably won't do again,

but I want to give you a heads up about some of the stuff that we talk about in it,

because you go into a true crime podcast expecting certain themes, but a lot of things that we

talk about with our guests are very raw, very now. And you know what, when I was listening to

the edit back on a, you say hangover, I was like, well, I think I would want a little warning

beforehand. So the podcast covers a lot of subjects, but we talk about some very emotive stuff,

including the pandemic. We talk about suicide, we talk about HIV, we talk about homophobia,

and lots of the structural things that contribute towards these. Also, this is recorded before

a New Year's Eve party at my house. Don't worry, all rules followed, all outside, everyone

freezing their tits off in a barn and not many of them. So are we pre-drinking? Absolutely. Do I

keep topping up everybody's drink in front of the microphone so every now and then you can just

hear bubbles dispersing? Yeah, of course I do. We got through two bottles of Prosecco was recording

this. Can you hear my partner banging around in the background making pizza for everyone? Yep.

Do you hear my dog barking as people come into the house? Absolutely. So it's quite noisy,

sort of radio for play of an episode compared to what we normally do, but we both thought that

the conversation was too brilliant and too fascinating not to put out. So we really hope you enjoy it.
