Summary

Pastor Louie Giglio // "The unfinished work of the Church is to make sure everyone on Earth hears about the finished work of Jesus." — We are, by nature, consumers, not creators. Just look at the Pareto Principle; 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. This means that even in the Church today, 80% of the work, 80% of the buy-in, 80% of the effort, is contributed by 20% of the people. This is not how the Church is supposed to function. — It's time for us to move towards the Pneuma Principle, where 100% of the people who embrace the Messiah contribute to the working of the Holy Spirit. This takes all of us doing our part, all of us pulling our weight, all of us leaning All In.

Most people had folded, and it was down to two guys, and I mean they were looking at each other up and down from three feet away.

There's no shot clock in poker, so you can stare at a guy for like 20 minutes, it seemed like I'm just looking at you like.

I'm looking for a twitch, or a little, your pulse going up, or a little bit of sweat coming on your brow.

And finally the one guy just makes his decision, and he goes very low, very cool, very calm. He's like, I'm all in.

1:27.0

And he just shoves all of his chips into the middle of the pot. And he's like, oh my goodness.

Because these cards are about to turn over, and I hope you didn't get bluffed out of your best opportunity in this moment.

1:45.0

It's that feeling of being all in. And that's what church is really all about.

We're in the book of Acts. Can I just back up and say parenthetically, this book is called Acts.

In other words, it's about what the followers of Jesus filled by the Spirit do.

This book, hello, is not called B, it's called do.

Now if that sounds a little legalistic, that's maybe something that we should think about, because yes we have a new identity in Christ,

but not so that we can sit around and relish who we are in Christ.

2:27.0

We have a new identity in Christ, so we can rise up in Christ and walk in Christ and do the things that Christ has prepared for us beforehand that we should do.
