0:57.9	with the L.A. sheriffs had everything where it needed to be, but then Donald Trump decided
1:04.3	to escalate things. Donald Trump declared war on the United States. He activated the National
1:09.9	Guard, as you now know, and federalized the National
1:14.1	Guard unlawfully, I might add, under a statute that did not provide Donald Trump with the
1:19.3	ability to do so. And then he sent the National Guard as a federalized unit against the people
1:27.4	of Los Angeles.
1:29.1	And Donald Trump tried to provoke this from the outset, really, beginning on Friday, but it's
1:34.2	been a long time coming.
1:35.8	You know, he's been doing these ice raids, and they've been focusing not on criminals or gangbangers
1:41.4	or people who are doing bad things.
1:46.0	They're going to hardworking Latino communities.
1:46.7	They're going to courtrooms.
1:48.1	They're going into factories.
1:50.1	They're going into neighborhoods and ripping families apart.
1:54.5	They're going into the Home Depot parking lots.
1:57.7	It is shameful, shameful behavior.
1:59.6	But Donald Trump wanted to provoke a situation where he could
2:03.8	send in the military. And so he started with the National Guard, federalizing it unlawfully.
