You know, it's, it's, it's funny after we did, you know, last episode, talking about

Brendan Gallagher and the stalemate that apparently was happening with the Montreal

Canadians.

And it's funny, I was tweeting out about, I think, I was tweeting about how I thought

it was really strange that they'd given this all this money to guys that had never played

for the team, but somehow they were going to grind Brendan Gallagher on a couple hundred

thousand bucks.

And of course, that like a minute later, Eric, the news breaks, six and a half million,

he's going to be there a long, long time.

Can you tell us about like the, what, was there actually a stalemate or was it just something

like, you know, the agent was throwing stuff out there and like, what, how did, what happened

here?

The agent referred to it as a miscommunication and Mark Burge van later said that it would

be more accurate to describe it as a miscommunication and the 24 hours in between I wrote something

quick for sports and that just basically saying, you know, there's no reason, or actually

I should say he signed and then I wrote something because we were speaking to Gallagher the

day after he signed, which annoyed me, but I would have preferred to have had his

in Burge van's words attached to it before I started writing about it, but sometimes

you don't always get what you want.

And I kind of suggested in my piece that, you know, for a player that wanted to be here
